  • 01/11 - Finished Swamplandia! by Karen Russell last night -- very good.  Not as dark & creepy as her stories in ...Girls Raised by Wolves but I liked it. Best book I've read all year!!
  • Went with classic country to set the tone last session, but... meh. Did get intro'd to Billie Jo Spears, Dusty Springfield's twangy American big sister (Spotify her) then went to the bayou in honor of Ms Russell with Alligator Records 40th Anniv Collection
  • 01/12 - tonight's musical accompaniment: Ryan Adams and the Cardinals
  • 01/16 - The Antlers Hospice
  • 01/18 - It is hard to "find" the time to write, both from the enjoyment angle and the sense of intimidation, when one has begun the latest novel from Stephen King.
